XLRI PGDM(GM) has completed the CXO Session : Mr. Vishal Sharma

Jamshedpur । The event began with an Inaugural Address by Shilpita Panigrahi, XLRI Jamshedpur, who welcomed the guest speaker, Mr. Vishal Sharma. Akash Raj Shukla the general secretary along with Divya Enamandra the deputy general secretary offered a bouquet.
The session’s guest was Mr. Vishal Sharma, National Managing Director & President of Deloitte Consulting India Pvt. Ltd.

Vishal spoke about his journey in Deloitte post MBA. He also addressed several questions posed by the audience. He began discussing the evolution of the role of consultants. The speaker highlighted how consulting as a profession has developed over time. He discussed the involvement of new-age technology in our daily life and consulting, how technology has made life much better. He cited examples from Covid-19 duration, on how technology helped consulting and IT firms to WFH; and how in the health care sector, technology helped in the distribution of vaccines to all parts of the nation. He threw light on how technology is now creating new markets and at the same time disrupting old-school businesses. He emphasized on the development of AI and ML in technology – how with time and the help of AI, we can drive new business transformations. Vishal then spoke about ESG and how every firm is aligning its strategies with ESG. He also spoke about diversity, equity, and inclusion along with the role of top leadership in the firm.

The session ended with a few questions from the audience on the development of technology in Deloitte and how they helped people during the Covid-19 period. Mr. Sharma put forth his end notes on the future of technology and how consultants need to be familiar with its impact and how it can help every business.
