About the XLRI Case Research and Simulation Development Centre (XL-CRSDC)
The Case Research and Simulation Development Centre was established with the vision to make XLRI a major business case repository in India. Its mission is to facilitate excellence in business pedagogy and research through cases. The Centre has forged strategic collaboration with several corporates and institutions to develop impactful field-based cases. Several field-based cases, in agreement with corporate firms, are already underway and some are near completion. These cases provide an in-depth understanding of the challenges faced by the firms. The Centre has developed more than 25 field-based and secondary cases. XL-CRSDC is also in the process of creating a digital repository for showcasing all its published cases. Once the microsite is launched the academicians and corporates can directly purchase cases for teaching and instructional purposes. The Centre provides language editing support to all the authors along with guidance on writing a structured case study. The flagship programme students and FPM research scholars are mentored by the Centre convenor to develop cases on start-ups and topics related to sustainability. XL-CRSDC also plans to organize a Case Teaching and Writing Workshop followed by an International Case Conference in 2023. Henceforth, the conference will be marked as an annual event hosted by the Centre. The workshop will be a platform for students, faculty, consultants, industry experts, professionals, and non-academicians to exchange ideas and foster mutual learning.
