New Director & New Dean (Academics) take charge at XLRI Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur । Fr. Sebastian George, S.J. has taken over the responsibilities as the new director of XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur with immediate effect, succeeding Fr. Paul Fernandes S.J.

An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Fr. Sebastian George, S.J. (1996 Batch) was previously the Director of XLRI Delhi-NCR and has over 14 years of experience in management education in different fields of OB Area like Individual Behaviour in Organizations, Transformational Leadership, Managerial Counselling, etc. His research interests are in the area of Leadership and Personnel Effectiveness. He has worked for the Xaviers fraternity for many years in various capacities.

Fr. Sebastian George, S.J. on his appointment as the Director said: “It feels good to be back to the same campus where I’ve spent my college days. I look forward to the support of all the faculty members, staff members, and students. We will together work towards the interest of the Institute. We have a well-set vision to bring a change in the economy and society at large. The institute always strives to be a management school with a difference. We will together look forward to inspiring young minds and creating more responsible leaders.”

XLRI Jamshedpur also takes pride to announce the journey of Prof. Sanjay Patro as the Dean, Academics of XLRI, Jamshedpur with effect from August 26, 2022 after succeeding Prof. Ashish K Pani, who has shouldered the Dean of Academics responsibility for the last six years.

Prof. Sanjay Patro has been associated with XLRI Jamshedpur since the last 25 years as a Professor of Marketing and has a demonstrated history of working in the Premier Management Institutes. His areas of teaching, research and consulting include: Product Management, Brand Management, Strategic Planning, Business Development, Marketing Strategy and Research.
